Pricing: $50: 30-minute lesson in Gab Kallay Home Studio. In home lessons are available - cost varies based on location. Payment: Payment is accepted via cash, check or bank transfer. Payment is due at the time of the lesson each week. Cancellations: Cancellations due to unforeseen circumstances must be made by 10:00 am on the morning of the lesson. Gab Kallay Music reserves the right to charge for lessons cancelled after 10:00 am for reasons other than illness or family emergencies. Lessons will be rescheduled within the same week, when possible. No-Shows: If the lesson does not occur for any reason without prior notice, this is considered a no-show and student will be charged in full. Inclement Weather: Lessons cancelled due to inclement weather will not be charged. Gab Kallay Music does not necessarily follow school closings. Please contact us if there are any questions or concerns as to cancellation due to weather. Instrument: There should be an intent to purchase an acoustic piano or keyboard shortly after lessons have started. This will be beneficial for both piano and voice students. Additional instruments may also be required including a metronome, pitch pipe or others. Materials: All students should have a manuscript notebook. Voice students should have a binder. All books and music can be purchased by Gab Kallay Music and reimbursement can be made at the following lesson, or music may be downloaded by the student at musicnotes.com. Practice: Practicing fosters learning and enjoyment of the instrument. Depending on age and level, students should expect to practice between 10 and 30 minutes per day, at least 3-5 days per week. When practice habits become part of the routine, learning progresses at a much faster pace. Recitals: Recitals are held at least once a year at June at the Ponus Yacht Club in Stamford. |
